Jam for Hungry Minds is the fundraising event spearheaded by Accenture’s Navitaire and SUS projects in Manila. The competition’s proceeds all go to the Food for Hungry Minds School (HMS), an organization that allows students to get high school scholarships in the Philippines.
Last November 29, 2012, five different bands from Navitaire and SUS participated in a mini-concert. Playing one song each, the bands Forever Wassaque, The Saboteurs, The Remedy, JNG Project, and The RES Band all showcased their musical talents in order to garner more votes and raise more money. Additionally, the HMS kids also performed a set of song and dance numbers. You also get to decide who among executives Dave Evans, Kurt Blumberg and Chuck Maahs will perform on stage.
To raise money, each vote costs Php 50 (or the country’s equivalent), and also serves as a raffle entry. Navitaire and SUS employees are qualified to win a brand new 16 GB retina display iPad with Wi-Fi among other prizes, while non-employees have the chance of winning a 16 GB iPad Mini with Wi-Fi.
